Take a trip around the world without leaving Ottawa! Join us for International Day - a fun family event to celebrate the cultural diversity in our community. Started in 2004 by the Canadian Montessori Academy, it has since grown to a community-wide event expecting more than 3,000 visitors. Children and families can visit more than 20 difference countries, stopping at each table to sample their national food and look at artifacts. People from those countries will be on hand to tell you a bit about life there and answer your questions. Listen closely, and count how many different accents you can hear! There will be two small stages featuring music, singing and cultural performances. Admission is free, and food samples can be purchased for just $1 per ticket.
