First Time Moms

New mom / dad,  we all have our share of good and bad days.  We share a common ground on our babies and one of those is getting drained and sometimes hitting the wall.  We all need support to climb over these major adjustments to practically save our sanity.
What's has your experience taught you and what tips can you share with those new in the game?  Or for those running the field, what has been working for you so far?

Learning to juggle the two responsibilities of baby care and me care is an art I will probably never perfect. Luckily, I'm stubborn enough to keep trying.  Here's one: Start a quiet time routine with your baby - "my time" is another thing.  Quiet time is something I need during the day so I can brush my hair again and manage the emotional tone in the household.  When baby has been fed and rested, I leave him in his crib with safe toys and allow myself to relax a few minutes and do a little bit of stretching, or reading, sometimes daydreaming over a cup of tea.  This likewise teaches him autonomy and confidence in his environment even if I'm out of sight range.

Hopefully in next few months I can make my schedule more sane & manage to get some "me time" ;-)
