Saffron and Depression

    Something to share:

In this month's alive magazine, saffron has been found useful in treating
mild to moderate depression because it increases serotonin in the brain!
    Page 133 says :

"In one study, participants took either a 30 mg does of saffron or a 20 mg dose of fluoxetine daily for eight weeks.  At the end of the study period, both groups showed significant improvements in depressive symptoms, with no noticeable  difference between the two groups."

I love finding and sharing natural alternatives to synthetic medications however, you know your situation best, this is not medical advice.

Imagine how something simple like adding saffron to our diets could make us feel better!
