Postpartum Depression & Anxiety Support Group - Virtual (Monday, April 13, 2026)

For mothers and birthing people in Ontario

This is a group for mothers who are looking to connect with other moms. It can be helpful for those currently dealing with symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety including low mood, irritability, crying, difficulty eating/sleeping, intrusive thoughts etc. This group will give you the opportunity to connect with other women and get support and education regarding postpartum mood, as well as strategies for coping, resources and referrals.

Note that this is a therapeutic group. An intake will be conducted by our therapist for all those interested in participating to ensure the right fit for group therapy.

Please only sign up if you are able to attend all sessions. There is a fee for this program, but we are providing it free to members who need it. The supportive group environment works best with everyone attending each session.
The group will once a week from Monday, April 13 to Monday, May 25.
PLEASE NOTE - THERE WILL NOT BE A CLASS ON MONDAY MAY 18TH.

This group does have some exclusions, where it is not a great fit for those who are experiencing severe PMADs, or those who are experiencing acute crisis.

Join me and my child for storytime and a fun craft at Ikea Vaughan’s Swedish Restaurant.

All materials will be provided. High chairs are available but feel free to bring a blanket or mat to sit on. Please note the restaurant cannot guarantee a peanut-free environment. They kindly ask not to bring in outdoor food or drinks with the exception of baby food.
Free regular coffee or tea is available at the Swedish restaurant when you sign up for the free Ikea Family membership.

Join me and my three year old for a playdate at Tiny Otters Playspace.

This brand new playspace features a huge role-play area, slides, monkey bars, a little sandbox and art corner, and much much more. So be prepared to have fun and get a little messy.

There’s seating areas throughout and free coffee/tea is being offered to LWAB members.

Cost & How to Pay (at the door):

LWAB members receive a special discounted price of $13.60+tax per child over 1 year of age. Babies under 1 are free with a paid sibling. Otherwise $13.60+tax.

The group is focused on bringing awareness to why many families feel they do not fit “inside the box” and provide a space to support those outside of the box to feel mentally well and embraced within their community.

What is Flora’s Walk?

Flora’s Walk is Canada’s largest perinatal mental health fundraiser taking place in over 50 cities across Canada. The event culminates in May, World Maternal Mental Health Month, where, after months of fundraising and planning, walks and events are held in cities across Canada throughout the month of May to call attention to the need for improved perinatal mental health care.

Who was Flora?

Flora’s Walk is named about Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically lost her life in 2022 to undetected and undiagnosed and untreated postpartum psychosis. We honour Flora and all those who have lost their lives to perinatal mental illness and fight for those struggling to receive care.

The Impact of Flora’s Walk

Since 2022, over 100 organizations who have received funds through Flora’s Walk have provided free to low cost support groups and therapy across Canada.

In 2023, at Flora’s Walk in Ottawa on Parliament Hill, the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions announced funding to start work on Canada’s first ever clinical national guidelines for perinatal mental health.
