Baby Café: Discussion Topic: Talking to Kids about Money

Many parents prefer not to talk to kids about money, either because they don't think it is necessary, or because they don't feel comfortable doing so.

Is there a right age for kids to learn about money? Do they understand the value of money? How can you start a dialogue instead of a lecture?

Come share your views and experience with us this week!

"Schedule" for the morning: We sing some silly songs with the kids, then we let the kids/babes play with the babysitters while we have our discussion/hear from someone.  After the "learn & discuss" time, we have a snack and just hang out until 11:30ish.  There are volunteers who take care of our little ones and provide the snack so we can rest a bit.  We're in the room right next to the kids while they play so we can hear them, but the great thing is someone else is taking care of them!
