Join us this Tuesday to explore the outdoors with our littles!
We will toddle inside Barrie’s Loyalist Forest, following a short section of the Wilkin’s Walk Trail, that extends down to Lake Simcoe. (45min-1hr).
Enjoying the beauty and calming effect of nature, we will travel down the path following along the creek side. Taking a brief moment to stop at a flat access point, we will insert paper boats into the creek for the littles to follow in view as we continue down the trail.
A little further on, we will come to a large bridge, with an open area of log seating, giving perfect opportunity to stop for a snack. This is a lovely spot for the little ones to further explore the area as well as the wildlife. (Retrieve boats). Just beyond that, reaching the end of the trail we will come to Wilkin’s Beach where the littles can play in the sand.
Finishing off by walking back the same way we came.
This trail is easy access and very stroller friendly, on a well traveled, wide pathway, with no roots or obstacles.
Meeting and parking information will be given in your confirmation email once you register.
Dress for the weather, proper close toed footwear, rubber boots are suggested for the littles. Bring a light, nut free snack. Also bring a small sand toy. (Pale and shovel). *paper boats will be provided.
