- Mariam, PC participant

"In addition to the website, the website has a forum. The stuff in the community, you attend a session and that's it, that's it, there's no continuation."

- Andrea, ME participant

"I use the website, I've actually gone on the forum and put in a title, sleep, and people have responded… It's kind of hard to say what is the most [beneficial/useful], cause [LWAB has all these different activities and information sessions that are all good… they are all in general just very applicable."

- Ellen, PC participant

"This just feels much more inclusive to me… I know of other groups that seem to be like if you belong to a certain like a group or demographic then you could be invited, or if you pay enough you can participate."

I had my son in May 2008.  The first 5 months were very difficult and I was becoming quite bored and lonely being off work and alone all day with the baby until my husband came home.  As much as I love my son, I'm a very sociable person and this unaccustomed isolation was beginning to depress me.  When I found LWAB and began meeting other moms and babies that all changed.  I met so many lovely ladies and our get togethers, playdates, walks and picnics were a blast.  It got to the point where I was not really looking forward to going back to work.  My son and I have since remained friends with the other moms still meet up.
At every opportunity I highly recommend this wonderful group to all new or expecting mothers that I meet.

Thanks Claire for putting in all your time and effort for all of us.

    Cheers,
    Suzette

As soon as I got pregnant, I started searching online for mom networks and get togethers. I knew from the start that I wasn't going to stay cooped up at home during my maternity leave and I really wanted to take advantage of all the baby programs and networking events out there for new moms like me! That's when I found LWAB through an online search, and I was pleased that it was in York Region. Most of the other groups were scattered throughout Toronto, and I wasn't interested in doing extensive travelling with a baby just for a get together with other moms. I love that most of the event by LWAB are FREE!!! I encourage the team to keep on going and hopefully be able to continue offering great classes and events.

    Thanks,

    Christine

Life at home with a baby can be wonderful...and lonely and boring. Life With A Baby has helped bring me out of the house and into a stimulating world where I could connect with other moms. It's been a lifesaver!
