Recommended For Parents/ Caregiver of Children Birth to 5 Years

This is a facilitated, community-based parenting program for parents of children from birth to age five. Within a group setting, parents will participate in facilitated sessions that:
promotes positive parenting
increases parents' understanding of children's health, safety, and behaviour
helps parents to build on existing skills and to learn new ones
improves parents' self-esteem and coping skills
increases self-help and mutual support
puts parents in contact with community services and resources
Parents will have the opportunity to:
MEET with other parents of young children (ages 0-6)
SHARE ideas or questions and concerns about being a parent
LEARN about child development, safety, health and behaviour
TALK about real-life parenting experiences
WORK together with the support of a trained facilitator
DISCOVER ways of positive parenting
