I was told by a nurse that Materna is not that good because it's not easy to digest among other things.

When I was pregnant I took Materna for one month and it made very nauseous I took a one from the organic store and I was fine. Then my logical brain decided maybe it wasn't the Materna, maybe it was just timing.  I took Materna again and it made me sick, got off and was fine...

so maybe your son's reaction is related to the type of multivitamin you are taking.

Good to know....thanks, maybe I'll try another one cause they seem to help with my stomache issues, but I dont want to cause them in Riley

Awesome!  I came across rave reviews about Gentalese and glad it works very well for you, too.  Preg-Vit can be a little tricky, no, not forgetting the 2nd dose.  Wel, it does give you another benefit - keeping the memory clock keen and active. Have you had that post-partum forgetfulness syndrome.... ahhh, motherhood!  :D

I've been taking Materna since before baby was conceived and I haven't stopped yet (daughter is almost four months).  I've read here that some women had problems with Materna but neither I, nor my daughter, have had trouble with it (either during pregnancy or during nursing).

The awful effects of Materna to some women during pregnancy, from my experience and research during mine, was that its SIZE practically induces vomiting and nausea that is clearly connected to the the mom's digestive and hormonal changes.  That's why Preg-Vit was invented to become a much smaller pill.  Then it has to be taken 2 times a day because its simply impossible (with our current medical technology at least) to pack in all the nutrients and minerals in one tiny tablet. One in the morning from one pack, and one in the afternoon from another pack.  Then it has to be prescribed by your doctor.  During nursing, it would be alright to go back to Materna or similar products as most women have since our bodies would have been on the road to normal levels of hormones and other stuff as you know already. Hope this helps.

Right on.  I could say the same.  I was ok, too, with Materna with my first 2 pregnancies. But I was too surprised that with the 3rd it was too different and too difficult.  Post-natal or during nursing, it worked nicely.
