Our Student Therapist, Rastin Rouhani
Rastin Rouhani is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) Reg# 14498. She is currently finishing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Rastin is offering counselling appointments supporting mothers with mild to moderate perinatal mood disorders, under the supervision of Kristen Drozda of Pace Counselling ( Reg# 007705).
As a mother of two sons and someone who experienced prenatal mood disorder, Rastin can feel and understand new parents experiencing such a problem. In addition, as an educational assistant in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), Rastin has 17 years of experience supporting students who struggle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) from kindergarten to grade 10. She supported such students both academically and behaviourally. This valuable experience helped Rastin to understand and support families experiencing such issues based on their unique needs. These experiences allow Rastin to support individuals and families both collaboratively and empathetically.
Rastin can serve clients with various approaches aligned with their cultures, such as CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interview, and ACT.
