    Ladies,

I've started doing Qigong exercises (slow movements, abdominal breathing, visualization and intention) with an instructor who is trained by masters from China.  He is also trained in pilates, yoga and Kung Fu.  He adds light weights to the exercises accelerating weight loss and will guide core re-engagement during the exercises.  His workouts can be customized to include Kung Fu cardio with  Qigong and a guided meditation to encourage deep relaxation and positive messages.

I was very fit before and during my pregnancy and I wanted to get back into everything but was strongly advised not to after a c-section.  A Naturopathic doctor recommend Qigong as the only exercise I should do to re-establish energy flow throughout the body....then I found James Griffin, the Qigong instructor.  I'm so grateful for having met him.

I'd love to put together a class and James has agreed to a 10% discount for LWAB members.  We need 10-12 participants.  This would mean no babies, though.  I don't like leaving my little one but it feels great to do something energizing for myself, coming back to her feeling more alive!

    Here is his site.

Please let me know if you're interested!

Qigong sounds similar to Tai Chi, but how are they different?

I would be interested, if the class is on a weekend as I am back to work.

I asked James Griffin, the instructor and his reply is:

"Qigong focuses more on fluid movement, deep breathing, visualization and intention where Tai Chi focuses more on holding positions for long periods of time and body awareness."

I'd also to add that Qigong also raises body awareness and James is not stern
like many traditional instructors, in fact, he can be really funny.
