Jillian Michaels (Trainer from the Biggest Loser) DVDs

Just wanted to share that I bought her DVDs from Costco (3 for $20) and they're very good.  I'm doing the Ripped in 30 DVD right now, it's a 30 day challenge.  There are 4 different levels (one level for each week) and each workout is only 20 minutes (plus warm-up & stretch = 24 min).  The only equipment you need is a set of handweights and you're supposed to do each level 5 or 6 times in the week and then move on to the next level.  It's bootcamp style:  3 minutes of strength training, 2 minutes of cardio, 1 minute of abs, and it continues like that 3 times and then you're done.  Not too much repetition either, you only do each exercise twice and no moves are repeated in subsequent levels/weeks.

You get a good full body workout and it really gets your heartrate up.  The other 2 DVDs in the box set are Buns & Thighs, and Extreme Shred (more intense 45-minute workouts).  I'm not touching the other 2 until I finish the 30 day challenge.  Costco also has another 4-pack set (Abs, Trouble Zones, and 2 others that I forget) for $20, but I wanted the 30 day challenge, plus all I can commit to right now is 20 min. a day.

Just thought I'd share because I'm really enjoying them and they were a good price.

    Hi Natalie,

Awesome share!  Thanks for posting.  I've been looking to purchase some DVDs so I can work out at home. It's so hard to get to the gym these days.

Which Costco location did you purchase the DVDs?

    Thanks.

At the Richmond Hill Costco (Elgin Mills & Leslie).

It's hard to do each level 5 or 6 times in the week because you'll be sore from the first day and it doesn't let your muscles rest, but hopefully it will be worth it!

The lady at the checkout said the Buns & Thighs dvd that came in my set is really good too.  She said she went to buy them from her website but they're $15 each, this set is 3 for $20.

Do you have to be a Cosco member to be able to buy stuff in their store? Or can I just drop in and pick those up? Thanks.

You need to be a member to shop at Costco... but I would think Walmart would have them, maybe not the exact same set but probably something similar.

Thanks for the post and recommendation. It's so hard to go to a gym with a baby in winter. I am going to get it and make a commitment to stick to it! :-) Thanks again!

I think you can order online (assuming it is available for ordering in their online store) without being a member, but there is a surcharge for non-members.
Perhaps you can ask someone you know who is a Costco member to get this for you?
