    Hi everyone :)

I am new to the forum and also a new mom. Im 24 years old and I live in Markham. I have post patrum depression and anxiety and I'm looking to meet some new moms who may be in the same boat as I am to share thoughts and feelings with. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a connection with me so we can chat and start a friendship. It's difficult to meet friends being at home all day, and I could really use the company. If anybody is interested you can feel free to email me at shana_carol_@hotmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you lovely ladies!

    Hi Darmeen,

What time were you thinking about walking around Toogood Pond?  I'm in east Markham with a four month old.

    Hi Randi,

I have just moved to east Markham too and have a four month old daughter. Give me a shout if you want to meet up. Any other moms in this area? I am not driving yet and not very familiar with the area and transport so might not be able to get to toogood pond yet.

Hope to meet up with a few of you soon.

    Hello there!

I live in markham and I'm a new mom to a one month old girl. I know this may sound a little presumptuous, but I am 24 years old and I'm not sure how other mothers would feel about meeting up with me based on my age. May I ask how old you are? I'm very open to meeting mothers of all ages, especially new mothers, so age is not an issue for me :) If you are interested in making a connection you can feel free to email me at shana_carol_@hotmail.com. Take care!

Hi Shana.  There is a site for Pathways York Region that has a program for six weeks called First Time Moms starting Monday.  Here's the link: http://www.pathwaysyorkregion.org/programs/family-services/early-yearsfamily-resource.html I would suggest calling them and signing up.  I just did.  It will hopefully help us both and the other moms there!  I suspect I might have PPD.  It would be a great way to find other moms to connect with.

    Hi Randi and Gunjan,

Markville Mall next Friday Sep 17 morning at 10am sounds fine for us. How about meeting at the fountain in front of the Bay (lower level) at 10am? I have a 17 month old so I may not use a stroller for the walk.

    Looking forward to it!

    Hi Gunjan,
How close are you to Markville Mall?  We could meet there next Friday instead of Toogood pond for a walk indoors if everyone doesn't mind a change of scenery.
    Randi

    Hi Randi,

I am near 16th and Bur Oak. The plan sounds good however im not sure if ill be able to make it there as im not too confident in getting there by public transit. Let me try and see if its not too much of a problem getting there by bus. If it wasnt for the baby i would have asked for a lift!!!

Incase i cant make it how about meeting for a stroll in the park near bur oak and northvale? I can just walk to there and would love to catch up.

I have to get my license soon. Also how did u find the first time mom programme, where are the classes held for the same?

Take care n hopefully see you guys soon.

    Hello Darmeen,

I would love to join you but I have relatives visiting on friday :( but I would love to join you the next time you plan on going. I live only one bus stop away from the mall so it is very easy for me to get there. Thank you so much for the invite and I hope to see you next time! Shana

    Hi moms and babies,

Sorry I have to cancel the power stroll at Markville Mall tomorrow (Sept 24). My son and I are both sick and I don't want to infect any of you.

    Thanks.
