So my son is 15 months old. He started walking ealry....and now he is at the stage where he wants to clibm on top of things! My daghter was so different he is driving me crzy!!! lol, I can not remove my furniture, I can not live in a tent or a bubble!  I am telling him no and sit down and I put him down in a sitting positinn...but it does not seem to work. I take him a lot the playparks to get him busy there.....Will he ever stop?

Also, he still chews on everything he has or can have in his little fingers. Again, I am doing my best to stop him from doing it, but he says Yum....what ever he picks up! The other day he eneded up touching fresh geese poop, how gross!  He is a fast mover, Mr Escaper.

Heh...my daughter who is 14 months old is very active and a climber as well.  Plus, she is teething so everything gets chewed.  At this age, you can't expect them to sit still any length of time. They just aren't at that point developmentally.  So, I make sure she gets lots of exercise every day (sometimes 3-4 hours at the park) and set up spaces in my house that she can run and explore safely.  Yes, my bedroom looks odd with a mattress on the floor and virtually no furniture in it, but hey, it works.  As for the chewing, I make sure we always have an appropriate chew toy at hand and substitute it every time she puts something in her mouth that I don't want her chewing on.

As for the goose poo, well, it washes off.  -shrug- Gross, but not a big deal.

I am the proud mother of 2 boys, 3yrs. old and 18 months old so I know the meaning of climbing and active! My 18 month old was and still is an incredible climber and eater of all things gross! It does drive you nuts but there is not much to do except deal with it in the moment, laugh and chalk it up to a stage. When he was 14 months it was worse because he was not as stable as he is now on his feet and he would eat ANYTHING! Just the other day when we got out of our SUV he started to lick the tire, pretty nasty! However some encouraging news for you other frustrated mothers is that they do settle down and just get used to their surroundings so climbing the same stuff becomes boring. We're still working on the chewing thing though as just earlier today he ate a handful of sand from his sandbox....Mmmmmmm. Enjoy your active children and be active with them, it can take away some of the impatience or frustration!

My Son is a lot of fun and he is such a happy kid.....But Yeah, the constant chewing on things is  more frustrating than anything. I know I just have to deal with it. I can not take my eyes off of him for a moment. He is fast enough to take a quick bite in front of my eyes of his crayon! And trust me I am sitting right in front of him hahha, too quick... I enjoy him, and I know soon I will be telling these stories to him or who know who and will be laughing. I do have a smile on my face just knowing how incredible my son is, and I should probaly make a lsit of things he ate for my scrapbook. Haha....

As far as licking tires, well...it could have been worse I guess. I am not sure what is actually worse licking tires or touching geese poop.

Yes, lets enjoy the littel ones they keep us young, and busy.
