Hi everyone!  I am a smoothie loving health nut (but I eat everything in moderation)!  After having my son, I started a small home based business to fuel my passion for eating healthy, nutritious food.  Some of the products that you may be interested in are isagreens and isafruits.  It is a challenge to get my three year old to eat green vegetables, so mixing a little isagreens powder into his juice or even into my homemade salsa, ensures that he is getting the phytonutrients from green foods that support optimal health.  The isafruits powder is the equivalent of consuming 20 servings of fruit with their antioxidants!  Both products contain only natural, healthy nutrients from organic sources and the blend is free from any fillers, binders, waxes, alcohols, articifcal flavours or sweeteners.  They are absent of or very low in sugar.  As a mom, I sleep better knowing that my son is getting the proper nutrition while I continue to expose him to a variety of foods.

    My favourite smoothie recipe:

1 cup plain (or vanilla or strawberry) yogurt

1 cup fresh berries (oraganic strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)

    half of a banana

handful of ice or half a cup fresh juice (depending on whether you like thick or thin smoothies)

    1 scoop isagreens

    1 scoop isafruits

I heard that a health smoothie would help but I have no idea on how to make one or what to put in it.
    Any one have any ideas?

    Hi Zoe,

My husband had been suffering from low energy for 5 years and resorted to taking daily mid day naps at 2 pm much to my displeasure.  He tried everything from vitamins, exercise, supplements to doctor presceribed medication but nothing worked.  It wasn't until recently when he did a 30 day gentle nutritional cleanse and replenishment system, using a combination of nutritional shakes, healthy snacks, vitamins and supplements altogether that amazingly he regained his energy, doesn't need to nap anymore and also noticed improved mental clarity.  He even shed 12 pounds and 2 inches.  If you're breastfeeding, it is best to wait until later to do a cleanse but you could possibly benefit and regain more energy from the healthy shakes that include all 90 vitamins and minerals that the body requires.  It is my feeling that when our body receives the proper nutrition, that we can't necessarily get just from our food, that our bodies begin to function the way they were meant to. Hope this helps you and if you need more information, see www.vitalnutrition.ca
