A Perk for Single Moms

Most of the time I feel blessed to be a single mom, strange as it might sound.
The most important benefits are that Olivia's needs always come first and I have the opportunity to listen to my intuition.

For those of that are in a relationship AND have these benefits, BRAVO!

But for the single moms who were not in that place and might occasionally feel lonely (as I sometimes do) read this poem a friend shared with me and relish in the blessings of being alone....

    oh yes

     there are worse things than
     being alone
     but it often takes decades
     to realize this
     and most often
     when you do
     it's too late
     and there's nothing worse
     than too late.

It would seem being a single mom is more favorable to many women these days than having a husband.  I have friends who just wanted to be a mom - conceived the baby and thanked the sperm donor away.  They say its equally fulfilling and happy.  Right, you (and they) are more focused to one single human being that means all the world to you. To each her own, eh?
