The Village : Volume 2

How many months in a week?

Top question of the year - or is it just me?! We are officially all with the new normal. This week, we had the pleasure of having author and speaker Ann Douglas lead a conversation on Facebook about parenting through difficult times. In her book Parenting Through the Storm, she outlines how her family made it through a tough period and made it out to the other side. She includes terrific tips on how to do so in your own life, and in an easy-to-understand way. If ever this was relevant, it’s now. Head over to our Facebook page to watch the video

Let me say this, you’re doing a fantastic job. You’ve been thrown a whammy and kept moving, and for that, you ought to be proud. We’ve seen a growing swell of kindness and community that makes even the most stoic tear up. What a beautiful lesson for our children to learn in real-time. I appreciate this chance to spend higher-quality time with my kids and watch them discover new things about themselves, including how resilient they are in the process.

Let this be our common theme this week - be kind to yourself and to each other

We know the importance of the village and while we cannot be with each other in person, yet. We have some great upcoming events and ways for us to connect online.
