A celebration of motherhood with lunch, discussion and prizes!

Come out for a morning and celebrate motherhood with us. Get inspired by our speakers and learn some tips for managing this amazing and at times challenging journey.

There will be a panel of three moms who will share how they manage to have it all as defined by their rules and their family. We want to discuss what having it all means for moms today. We'll hear from the Tamar Spilberg, one of Maple and Thornhill's mental health authorities and an academic and experiential expert in family wellness; Sandra Yeung Racco, Ward 4 Councillor for the City of Vaughan; and Fabiana Bacchini, journalist and life coach.

Topics will be discussed:

  • How to reduce guilt
  • How to reach the elusive work/life balance
  • How to find time for self-care / couple relationships

Tamar Spilberg - She is one of Maple and Thornhill's mental health authorities, offering Individual and Family therapy as part of her full-service psychotherapy suite Find the Balance. Tamar holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology with Honours obtained from Concordia University, and a Masters in Social Work from New York City's Yeshiva University. Tamar is currently registered with the College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers, and is a member in good standing with the Association of Social Workers. Sandra Yeung Racco - Over the past 11 years as an elected municipal official, Sandra Yeung Racco has worked tirelessly for her constituents. During her 3 terms on Council, Sandra has built an array of new parks, led art and culture initiatives, addressed the needs of youths and seniors, and collaborated with other levels of government to bring the Subway into Vaughan.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in North York, Sandra graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music. Following a career in music, she gained significant experience in international business relations, and engaged in extensive volunteer activities, giving her a deep understanding of the community. A mother of four who has lived in Vaughan for
more than 20 years, Sandra is committed to delivering results for Ward 4 and to continuing to build a vibrant and livable community for her constituents.

Fabiana Bacchini  - After 10 years experience in television broadcasting in two countries, Fabiana decided to follow her true passion and became a life coach. For the last six years, she has been working with women to help them realize their true potential, live a balanced life and unleash the power within.

She is the co-founder of Great Big Tiny Hearts, a not for profit organization, that supports families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She also sits on the advisory board of Life With a Preterm Baby.

Fabiana divides her time between her charity work, her private coaching, a home based business and being a busy mom of 2 boys, one with different abilities who made her come out of her comfort zone to live her life on purpose.
