Dear families!

All cultures are welcome and encouraged to share this powerful hour with us.

Are you and your child energized by the deep, resonant beat of African drums or the sweet, buttery strains of the saxophone? Does dancing lift your spirits and are you captivated by fascinating stories about other cultures? Yes?

On Thursday, February 25, to celebrate Black History Month, we've invited award-winning African Storyteller and Musician Babarinde Williams to bring interactive hand drumming, saxophone and dynamic dance to you and your child, virtually via Zoom. Babarinde will also tell tales of Ananse, Ijapa and other characters, all providing a kaleidoscopic view of Africa through the eyes of an African Child.

A child's participation in artistic group activities helps to sharpen skills such as attention, impulse control, decision-making, turn-taking and sharing, and helps children feel they are contributing towards a group process.

Registration for this event is provided via Eventbrite. Please see our registration link below.
