The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre is offering an online peer support group for parents in the Ottawa area. 

About the group leaders: Nancy McLaren Kennedy is the mother of three teens-including identical twins. She experienced depression and anxiety while pregnant and after giving birth. Nancy is a Peer Specialist in the Women’s Mental Health program at the Royal. In this role she facilitates perinatal wellness and journaling groups. Nancy is passionate about educating people about PMADs and supporting the mental heath of people in their perinatal period.

Laura Neville is a mother of one who experienced postpartum depression and anxiety. Her background includes co-facilitation of a drop-in mental health support group for new mothers at The Royal. She has also co-facilitated the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) course. Laura is passionate about helping others and combatting the stigma of mental illness.
