Shahla Yaghoubian is a registered Social Worker/ Psychotherapist  and has worked in the field for the last 30 years as a couples counselor, child development consultant, child and family therapist and Manager of Infant, Early years Mental Health.

 

Shahla has worked with families for many years and believes the earlier you start helping your children the better off they will be in the long term. That is why she has specialized in cognitive, behavior and emotional development for children as well as in coaching parents. Over the years, she has worked at multiple social service agencies including Family Services Toronto, Macaulay Child Development Centre, and Yorktown Family Services including leading the infant and children mental health portfolio at Yorktown.

 

Shahla now runs her own private practice with a focus on attachment models, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and behaviour management. She is trained and certified for all the services outlined above and is also certified to train others such as nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. While she has specializations in working with birth to 12, her clients also include teenagers up to 18 years old.
