Infants are very sensitive.  What methods do you use to take ear wax out?

Unfortunately you can't.  My son had so much earwax his doctor was unable to see in to check for an infection.  At this age you cannot try to remove it.  It eventually comes out, well some of it.  He grew out of it by a year and a half.

The method that worked for us was right after the bath, I would take a q-tip and wrap it in a washcloth, making it thicker than the ear canal, and cleaning around it. Eventually the rest started coming out faster, and cleared up.

I was wondering the same! - how the doctor can really check the ears if there's a build-up so huge that it blocks whatever that needs to be seen.  Well, I guess you're right and I just hafta settle with cleaning the earlobes regularly.  :D

It's great to know that I am not the only person feeling awkward when the doctor cannot check Eva's ears due to all the wax build up!

After all it's the right thing not to poke baby's ears.

Thanks for great advice. Tested the cloth method and it works great! mostly making me feel more comfortable doing this!
