Here's another poll question:

When did you switch your little one from crib sleeping to another form of a bed (mattress, toddler bed, futon)?

Please share the age, and your 'method' of transition - THANKS!

Age:  Around 18 mos - crib to regular twin size bed with bedside railing.

Transition method: I just laid them there one evening and they were content. 
I was confident they wouldn't topple over since they've shown good physical balance and no interest in stepping out when they needed me (mattress is 90cm from the floor so that's why!).  They sat while holding on to the rail and called out for me.
