Where are you? What are your favourite diapers, do you make your own or do you have a favourite brand? When did you start using them with your little one?

I have made some dipes, but they are now used for laundry days!!!! Simply because they require a cover, and I'd rather just use my a.io's! I love baby Kanga and Bum Genius ...love LOVE. the Kangas are awesome and look fabulous!  I have two in cloth, we've been using cloth dipes for about 8 months now, started when our youngest was only 1 month old and hardly fit into any of them! dd was 16 months. I tried cloth with our oldest, 4yrs ago when he was about 6 months old but I cuoldn't convince my husband on them.... I finally got him to come around when we were buying THREE sizes of diapers in one shopping trip....that was about $100 right there, before buying any food! [the oldest was just finishing up potty training, so was still in pull-ups at night]

I LOVE cloth diapering, and can't believe I didn't start doing it much sooner.

I cloth diapered for 15 months - we started at two months (those early weeks were just so hectic!) and stopped at 17 months. We primarily used Fuzzi Bunz, though I had a couple of Swaddlebees AIOs. We initially started with AppleCheeks (wanting to support Canadian-made), but they just did not fit right, and she outgrew the largest size by 8 months (those chubby thighs....)

We gave it up eventually because DD got so active, we had so many leaks. Also, the daycare were having issues with leaks in the crib at nap time and were using disposables for nap time, so then I just had less and less to wash in each load, making it less worth while :(

Since I had invested so much in my large stash of Fuzzi Bunz (we have something like 6 size S, 8 size M, 16 one-size!), we decided not to try another brand/ style and just switch to disposables instead. I figure, the next baby is diapered "for free" ;)

I loved cloth diapering - sure, it meant a bit of extra work, but I love my HE washer (it does such a great job) and DD looked so cute in the diapers :)

I've been cloth diapering since my daughter was born.  We started with Kissaluvs (newborn size) and a diaper cover and then once she was about 10lbs we moved onto the Bum Genius 3.0 pocket diapers.  We LOVE LOVE LOVE them!  I use a disposable overnight so I don't have to change her at all but other than that, we only use cloth for the rest of the day.

We also use cloth wipes.  I've also purchased cloth training pants for potty training time and she also uses a Bummis swim diaper, which works great!

One item that I'm really glad I purchased was a Bum Genius Diaper Sprayer, which attaches to the toilet and helps with getting messes off of the diapers.

Since I've purchased my diapers last year, so many new brands have come out and a lot look very similar to the Bum Genius so I imagine there are plenty of good brands to choose from this year.

If we have another child, I plan on re-using these diapers.  My daughter is almost 15 months old now and still in her cloth diapers and I plan on using them until potty training.

    So happy with cloth diapers!

I use mostly prefolds with wrap covers (Bummis and Thirsties).  I also have some Sustainablebabyish bamboo fitteds and a wool cover which I love for overnight.

I just bought some Sugar Peas fleece covers which are in the dryer as we speak.  My DD is prone to diaper rash, so I am trying to use as many breathable covers as possible.

Laundry isn't that much extra effort although it can be hard to get enough water to rinse thoroughly with my HE machine.

We have used Bummis prefolds and Bummis Super Brites covers since Jonathan was 2 weeks old and have been very happy with them.  He is now 16 months and we plan to keep using them til toilet training.

I also have 4 one-size bamboo diapers (Mother-Ease) which are nice but I find to be not as absorbant, so they are only used for shorter periods of time.

Since he started eating solids, and hence the poop started to change texture, we have used Bambino Mio liners, which are great - they catch everything solid and if only peed on, can go through the wash and be reused til pooped on.

I have shared the newborn sized prefolds with a close friend, so by the time we are finshed with them, the diapers will have gone through 4 or 5 sets of use.  They have stood up really well so far.

We purchased a range of one size and haven't really loved them since they haven't fit well (fuzzi bunz, baby kanga, bum genius, happy heiny).  My son is only 4 months but is almost 18 pds and the kangas are now working well.  We use Bummis prefolds as inserts.  Surprisingly we have LOVED bummis prefolds from the beginning.  We bought the infant box then returned for the larger size (baby I think it is called).  Great absorbancy.  At night we used the med covers and larger prefold when he worn the smaller size during the day.  Now that we use the meds during the day I have gone to disposibles at night (and am still having leaks!)

I will probably purchase some more kangas but have also heard great reviews on mother's ease so may try those.  Has anyone tried those?

I've been using Bumboo diapers size 2 since my son was 4 months with Flip covers and love them!  We also have a set of Gro Baby and love those too!  I only cloth diaper at home though, still use disposable overnight and when we're out.
