What toddler step stool do you use?

So my little guy is ready to start learning to wash his hand by himself, but is obviously too short to reach the sink. Since I can't be holding him all the time, I think it's time to invest in a good stepping stool or a bench.

Does anyone have good feedback about the ones they use? What are some of the names/types that are great vs. ones to stay away from?

Any feedback is appreciated! :) Along with what age you started training your little one to wash hands by him/herself :)

    Thanks!

I just bought 2 step stools from IKEA. I have one in each bathroom and they work for us. My kids are 3.5 years old and 22 months old and they can reach and turn on the water themselves.

I have the stepping stools from IKEA.  Its sturdy, clean looking, and cheaper.  It comes in the big and small sizes.  The big/tall one for younger toddlers and as they grow taller they shift to the smaller one.  I'd say before my kids reached 18 mos they develop and keen interest on the sink and try to wash their hands or brush their teeth with little help.  As for more independence, it would have to wait until they're big enough to reach the knobs.

I just bought the Nuby Step Stool for my son who is 20 months old and it is perfect for him.  He can easily pick it up and move it around.
This is a sturdy stool that holds up to 800 lbs. and has a no slip top and non-skid base. It comes in many different colours.  I believe I bought it at Zellers for around $12.00
