With the recent snowfalls, I'd like to take my 22 month old out to play.

What fun activities can you do with an infant/ young toddler?

Hi,

My 14 month old just loves going for walks down our street. He can't get up when he falls, but he usually just looks up at us and smiles and waits. If its not too cold, we even take him to the park.

Dar	My 21 month old son also loves walking outdoors in the snow. He sometimes fusses a bit when we have to put him into snowpants and all the snow gear. But once he is outside he is really happy. He learned to say 'neige' (snow in French) really quickly because he likes it so much.

So we checked out our local Canadian Tire and bought a baby sled and dragged our toddler around in the fresh snow and also halfway down a gentle slope - she LOVED it. She could not stop grinning.

Then we made the mistake of holding her while sliding down from the top of the little hill on a snow dish/ saucer borrowed from her cousin, and she did not want to get back in the sled!

Sledding is the best!! I've been taking my kids on a baby sled since they were 6 mos. They love it.... Though my daughter appreciates it more now that she is bigger. It's the most fun you can have with a little one outside on a winter day...
Plus its a great thing to make your husband do on weekends and get the kids out for 1/2 hr or so...

A fun activity that my kids like. Fill up a water bottle with water and food colouring and sray on the snow. Watch how the snow will turn red, blue or whatever colour is in the bottle. We also like to build little snowpeople or snow angels.
