Double Stroller Advice

I'm currently  looking for a double stroller and like the idea of the "sit 'n' stand" types.  Our son will be 2.5 years old when # baby 2 arrives, so I like the idea of him being a little more free to come in and out of the stroller as needed when we're out as a family.

Any suggestions on which brands you like (and why) and which you would not reccomend (and why not) would be greatly appreciated.  Specifically, I'd like to hear what you have to say about how the stroller handles on uneven surfaces, weight,  it's manoeverability, compactness when folded up, how well your kids liked it, etc.

    Thanks in advance,

    Beth

my friend has a joovy caboose.  she loves it...she says it works fine on grass but hasn't been on gravel.  It folds down very compact and is lightweight.

I bought a BOB...it's not a sit 'n stand but I LOVE it!  It maneuvers wonderfully and is sooo easy to push over any surface.  They are pricey but I bought a used one on Kijiji and I'm very happy with it.  It is quite large though.  We travel pretty much every weekend though and haven't had a problem (we drive an escape).

Let me know if you have other questions.

I have the cheaper version than the Joovy sit and stand and LOVE it.  It was the best decision we made regarding strollers.
My older son was 2.5 years when #2 was born and the 'stand' part gave him a bit of freedom to hop on and off, but has straps so if we need to contain him we could :)
The only downside for us is that if we were out and my older son needed to nap (which he sometimes did in the stroller) there really isn't any comfortable position for him to sleep.
Now he's almost 4 and we still use it for touristy things or if we want something more compact than the wagon.
    I'd recommend it comepletely!
