Life With A Baby - Convertible Car Seat

We're now starting the search for a convertible car seat as our 8 months old is close to outgrowing her infant car seat. Looking to hear from y'all which seat you have, what you like or don't like about it, price point, etc... We're looking to get 2 seats, one for my car and one for my husband's.

We got Britax seats for both cars - great seats, my daughter loves them and have served us well. However, now that I'm expecting baby #2, I wish I had thought a bit more about the type of seat I was buying as I have a 2 year old and and 11 year old step daughter who spends every weekend with us. I'm now having to think about a new car so that the Britax, the Graco bucket seat for the next baby and an 11 year old can fit comfortably in my car (honda accord).

I've had a lot of people mention the Radian seat as it doesn't have the same side bulkiness as the Britax at the sides and is more accommodating of multiple seats in a car.

Just sharing something to think about.

We are thinking about getting the Britax Boulevard 65. Its pricey $339 but it looks very comfortable. I've looked around for so long and so far I like them. I hope it will fit nicely in our Toyota Camry, I will have to go and try the demo in our car first before we buy. We also looked at Diono (also costly) but found it too heavy or else I would of went with them. My daughter is 10 months now and needs a convertible seat.

Peg Perego has a new convertible car seat but not sure if they are available yet. It also looks good but I need to see the real thing. Do some research and good Luck on your choice of seat.

Thanks for the thoughts ladies! Ruby, Britax seats are currently on sale, fyi ..20% off So we went looking around to different places (big box stores to boutique stores) and over the weekend we bought 2 Britax Marathons, from Baby in Gear. Most research we did showed the Britax as rated high on the safety factor, do that was important! We were looking at the Diono as well, but the fact that Britax was on sale pretty much made the decision for us...

Ruby	Yes Sandy they are on sale because Britax have new ones coming out. I also went to Canabee Baby to try the demo in our car and it fit OK. We hope to buy one soon before they don't have the pattern I want :-) I am glad that you bought two of them. I hope you like them.
