Where do you eat out with your baby/preschooler?

If you're out with you child during the day and can't make it home in time to eat lunch, where do you go out?

I haven't really found a place that has a child-friendly healthy menu, and I'm not going to go to a big restaurant just for a quick lunch. Any other good places out there, other than MacDonalds?

I guess it depends on the child's age, but I was just at Swiss Chalet, which is pretty kid-friendly.  I fed my 10-month old parts of my chicken (without the super salty dipping sauce), whole wheat bread roll and baked potato, along with other food that I had packed with me (some fruit, formula).  They have high chairs too.

I know some moms bring a jar of baby food (entree-type, like 'Beef Stroganoff') to open wherever they happen to be when it's lunch time.  Also, on longer outings (like the zoo, or hiking), I've brought warmed pasta sauce and quiche in small baby Thermos, which keeps warm for a few hours.

We bring our own food/snacks wherever we go.

Christine, I know what you mean - if you're on the go, unfortunately there's not much of a choice/ variety out there. I also try to always take food with me, but it doesn't always work out that way :)

Quick fast food options I like:

    Tim Horton's Chicken snack wrap.
Also, the McDonald's one is actually quite nice (get it grilled), as it has grated cheese in it (don't all kids love cheese?)

My DD loves noodles, so Teriyaki Experience noodles is an option.

Also, if there's a Villa Madina (there's one in the Vaughan Mills food court), they have some good options at a reasonable price.

I like the PC Organics line of products. They are low in sugar and sodium and there is tons to choose from. Cereal bars, fruit chews, cookies, granola bras etc... I also like to make mini muffins and just freeze them, that way I know whats in them.
