Do you have any tips or trusted, gentle products that you use to soothe baby's skin when there are red, dry, itchy patches on the body?

We used a dab of Organic Virgin Olive Oil when Thomas was a newborn.
Since he was about 9 months old, I use Aveeno Eczema Care cream. It is easy to carry around with you and works well.
You might find altering your diet (if you nurse) or your babie's diet also can help. Personally my eczerma is much worse with citrus or dairy and my son is similar. A Naturopath may be able to make good suggestions, ours was very helpul at Bayview Natural Health in Leaside.
    Good luck!

We tried everything...but a couple of the more "natural" things that I feel really helped were using humidifiers and putting colloidal oatmeal in her bathwater.  Also, covering her little hands to prevent scratching at night and during diaper changes was a must, as the scratching would only make the itching worse.

We use Aveeno Oatmeal cream (with blue lead). But I use it together with Tee Tree Oil. Tee Tree Oil is helping to heal those red itchy spots. Also, avoid hot bath and do not overdress your kid. Good luck.

If your baby's eczema isn't too bad, I would suggest trying the suggestions above. But I know that with my baby, her eczema was REALLY bad and on top of that, she had baby acne. She had baby acne on the face and eczema all over and no matter how much i moisturized her with the over the counter meds or natural stuff, it just didn't work. I was so worried about her and I'm sure she was in a lot of discomfort. I asked the doctor for a prescription with NO steriods. He wrote me a prescription for AQUAPHOR and GLAXAL mixed together. It has worked wonders. Her skin is now so soft and she's absolutely beautiful:)
