Can you recommend a family doctor in the Thornhill/Maple, Richmond Hill or Vaughan general area?

    I am looking for a family doctor and also a  pediatrician in the Thornhill/Maple, Vaughan,  and Richmond Hill area.   Does anyone know of  any doctors new to the area and/or welcoming new patients. My kids are in pre-school; not newborn babies.

    Preferences between the boundaries: Major Mack to the north; Keele to the West;  Yonge to the East;  and Steeles to the South.

    We have a family doc in that area, but can't recommend her as she is not taking new patients.
    Our experience was that you need to find a family doc and have a referral to get in to see a pediatrician.  They don't want to deal with any routine visits.  To find a family doctor, search for "Health Care Connect".  There's a website, can't recall the address, but my husband is using them to find a family doctor.  Hope that helps!

    our family doctor is located at Dufferin and Summeridge (south of Rutherford, north of Hwy 7).  2 of the 4 doctors there are taking new patients, I believe.  Our doctor is Mandy Schwartz and the other doctor taking patients is Naama Bartman.  We have been seeing Dr. Schwartz since our daughter was 2 and she is very good with kids and very thorough.  I also find she is pretty much on time (rarely have to wait).  There is lots of parking.  the office number is 905-764-0005.  Hope that helps!

    We love our family Doctor.  Dr. Fahrin Shariff. I don't know if she's accepting new patients or not though, but it's worth a try. 905 881 6510.  She's in the Promenade mall.  she's part of a group of Doctors practising in one office, if she's not accepting new patients, ask if one of the other doctors in the practice are.

    We go to see Dr Freedman - he is a peadatrician and is located at Bayview and John Street - i believe he is taking patients, we have moved to Mississauga and still travel to see him in Thornhill.  His number is 905 881 9831. good luck thanks Jenn
