    Hi moms

Did you do anything special with your placenta? In particular, those of you who had a home birth i.e. no hospital disposal option, how did you safely/ hygenically dispose of it?

    Thanks

I did not have a home birth but I have heard that a lot of people burry the placenta in their backyard. It has to be burried at least 4 feet deep to avoid it being dug up by animals and apparently it is good fertilizer.

You can encapsulate it and use it as a supplement, apparently it is very nutritious.
