We pay $1200/month for our live-in nanny, but that's her net pay. We also pay ~$350 per month in remittances (taxes, CPP, EI) and ~$600 per year in WSIB. There are further costs, I suppose, in having another person live and eat in your house but it's impossible to nail down precisely what that amounts to.
When she works beyond her agreed on hours, we pay her ~$10.75/hour for additional work. In theory, that should be taxable, but in practice, we just pay that in cash.
Live-out care is typically more expensive, but I can't offer any specifics although they make at least minimum wage or more per hour
Hope that helps.
