Does anyone have any experience with Wee Watch Home Child Care? I am particularly interested in your reviews of their educational program. I wonder how essential it is for infant care. I would appreciate ANY comments about your experience with them.

    Thanks!

My daughter, 19 mts has been with wee watch since she was 12 mts.  I am very pleased with the care she is provided by the caregiver I have chosen.  I toured all of the structured daycares that provided infant care and felt homebased day care would be more appropriate environment and financially, more feasable.  I interviewed four different caregivers.  Two of them, I would not have placed my child in their homes--I saw physical safety hazards in one of the homes.  I screened the caregivers myself during the interviews as I wanted someone that would not jsut watch my child, but care for her.  I have found that caregiver--she is fantastic with my child's dietary restrictions (she is gluten-free).  My dtr is already recognizing colors, letters and can count to three.  She has over 20 words.  When we have asked the caregiver to implement occupational therapy strategies we have been given, she has done so.  On one occasion, my dtr tripped over her own two  feet (she was doing that at home too) , fell in the playroom, bumped her head on a toy, requiring stitches.  The caregiver called us immediately and a serious occurance was immediately filed with the Ministry.  We then received a follow-up call from Wee Watch a couple of days later.  Overall, I am pleased with the care my daughter is receiving with Wee Watch.

My son is 2 1/2 and has been with Wee Watch since he was 11 mos. We are thrilled with the care, his learning, the activities and most importantly the nurturing care he receives. Our provider offers some structure ( circle time, outdoor play, etc) but she can also tailor the day to how the boys are feeling. They eat wholesome fresh meals, get lots of love and Thomas' WeeWatch activity booklets come home regularly, full of simple but good crafts, counting, letters, etc. We Aldo get monthly reports from a supervisor who sees the care by visiting them during the day (unannounced) andtge same person calls me quarterly to see if there are any issues. Billing through the office is not always perfect, but that's a tiny concern. Most importantly Thomas loves it and I have piece of mind. All that comes from finding a great provider though- so interview as many as you need to find the right fit. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your comments! We've decided on a wonderful care taker for our son and the Wee Watch folks have been great to work with so far.

    Best!

Any recommendations for a licensed home daycare (Wee Watch or  Family Day Care Centres) in the dufferin and rutherford area? Either North Thornhill, Concord or Maple communities would be best. The daycare has to be licensed by York Region. I need two spaces relatively soon.
