Do kids get sick more often in Daycare schools than Home daycares?

    My son was in a Daycare School for 6 months and he was basically sick every other week. I was wondering if it was just because of the flu season, or that the bigger Daycare School environment (a lot more kids) makes kids sicker than a Home daycare environment (less kids). Any moms with kids who had experiences in both environments with comments on this?

    My son was in a home daycare for about a year and NEVER got sick from the other kids. I think she had a max of 5 kids at any given time. My sister's kids are ALWAYS sick and they are in a home daycare too, so I guess it just depends on the kids.

    That being said I dress my little guy very well so not sure if that has anything to do with it or not?
