Is it something you would consider after one or multiple babies?  I've read about the procedures and the benefits and sounds all good.  Is it really?

Tubal ligation is a much more invasive procedure than a vasectomy.  Longer recovery time too.  Both options though, to my knowledge, are reverseable.  You don't have to remember to use contraception nor abuse your body with artificial hormones (that contrary to popular belief, really do have side effects!!!) .  I'm all for it!

Oh my, pills!  Side effects. You said it. Literally scary and are not at any point minimal. It blew my mind having gone through some medical literature about it and I was like "what?!?! why are these even available?!?!"  But yeah, I'm no doctor.

Wait, did you say reversable?  How so?

Reversible by medical procedure, although not recommended.  I would also caution you from using IUD's--especially the mirena which a few years ago was considered a medical specialty item for only those with specific issues, not just for birth control.
