Hi mommies, I hear lots of averages out there... my son Liam has been 'teething' for five months now, and nothing. When did your baby's first tooth come out?

The first tooth for my 2 girls each came to peak out of their gummy smiles around 8 months or a little later.  They started having that keen interest to tear things up with their mouth between 4 to 6 mos of age. Its so cute when the first and only tooth came out.  They looked so silly yet adorable.

Those 2 bottom front teeth on my son Andrew are finally starting to pop out now at 7 months. I'm told to use a small damp cloth to wipe his gums and teeth twice a day. Does anyone else do this?

I try to remember to wipe Eva's teeth regularly, but I do forget once in a while. You just reminded me about this!

Public health recommends to wipe them after each feeding to keep the first teeth healthy.

Has anyone tried using Tylenol to deal with the teething pain? Eva is not sleeping well - I can see her teeth coming through finally.

My daughter has been desperately bitting and grinding her gums ever since she was 4 months. I was so sure her teeth where going to pop out but nothing yet! She's 7 months now and has calmed down a bit with the teething symptoms. I heard giving them a regular metal spoon to bite on helps cut the gums. Just make sure you supervise though b/c he/she is bound to whack themselves on the head with it!

First bottom tooth came out at around 6 months, second bottom came out  a week later. Nicholas started teeething at 4.5 months. Boy, the drool!!!!! We expecting tooth # 5 anyday now. Tylenol (tempra) does help him. I only give it him at night if he wakes up cryin from pain. Never gave oragel. Also he loved empty bottle from the vitamine D  when he as thething at th beginning- it has firm and chewy dispenser and he was biting on it. it was easy for him to hold it as well. now at 11 months  he bites his honey-bunny plush toy!!!!

My Xavier's teeth started coming out at 7 months. He bit my finger once, bit my nipple once (ouch!) and bit his own tongue a few times already. One of my friend's little girl didn't start teething until she was 13 months old. So I guess it's a wide range!

My baby boy just got his first two bottom teeth one day apart, so really they came out at the same time exactly when he turned 5 months old.

Christian's two bottom teeth came out at the same time. He was 4 1/2 months old. Then his 3rd bottom tooth came out just before he turned 7months. He was teething since 2 months of age, and in talking to my husband's family they all started getting their teeth at 4 months of age.

My son is 6 months old and he already has 2 teeth (from the last two weeks).
I have the teething Camilia homeopathic medicine that I used only twice when it seemed like he was in pain. I also have the amber necklace for teething, but I didn't really used it yet. It's made of natural amber stones and safe for babies, and supposed to calm the pain. My son doesn't seem to suffer all that much, so I guess I'm lucky.
