I found this article with some great time-saving tips for healthy meal planning. These are all tips from other busy moms. The highlights are:

    - Plan meals ahead for the week
    - Buy pre-cut and pre-cooked foods
    - Cook double portions
    - Cook for a whole week in advance
    - Cook and freeze in bulk
    - Prep ingredients in advance
    - Invest in a slow cooker

I employ a number of these strategies (though I don't buy precut foods). In particular, my slow cooker is my favourite appliance. However, with the weather warming up, I'm looking for summer meal alternatives besides salads!

Do you have any tips you can share?

Pasta salad is a hit for my 3 year old! Especially if I make just like his Grandma does.

There's no easy fix here - I have a picky eater, so we try to rotate the meals he likes best to make dinner less of a challenge. We try new things on weekends or at lunch so that it makes it less stressful to make a second meal if he won't eat it.

    Good luck!

Totally ! Planning ahead help me A LOT !

I took one hour to plan for an entire month... and then... I just have to take the same food for the next month !

Save me time at grocery and at home thinking.

I also go grocery in the week days, less busy than week end.
