Any tips on things to consider when going back to work? Part-time/Full-time transition.  How did you make your decision?

I can't really help.  We were trying to make it work out and making plans and everything seemed so hard that we decided that I just wouldn't go back to work.

It was a difficult decision to make and it's a significant loss in family income, but, once the decision was made we've known that it's the right one.  It's so great to know that we can stick with whatever schedule works best for the little one and not force him into anything.  Even though we will have to spend less money, it's completely worth it for the time.

Good luck making your own plans.

For the first 6 months, I went back 4 days per week and now I am full time, but If I could, I would definitively stay at 4 days per week... and spend sometime with my girl.

So what I do, is I try to go pick her up as soon as possible so we can play together.

Finding a balance between home, work, baby, cooking, cleaning... is HARD !!

I just started back to work this week on a gradual return and it's hard.  I think my son has adjusted ok to day care but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.  I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I have to work 5 day s per week.   One of the things I did just before starting working (and I'll continue to do) is making extra food and freezing it.  I made some casseroles and lasagnas to freeze so when I am back full time i have some meals ready.
