Besides akronim with our last name makes it LA, that kind of cool.

Right on, LA makes a great short name esp when she's a teenager like "hey L.A. wanna chill..." coolness, I agree.  MmmMM, Laura - made me crave for chocolates (Laura Secord).
If only we can choose our names. As a little girl I wished to be called Isabelle.  But my mom would always say she had gone through some great lengths to find the name she likes best. Ok, I may have to agree now that I'm in the same shoes.  :D

Jenny your daughter has a great name.  Love the LA part.  My nick name is LL Cool J.  My maiden name is Lancia and my marrid name is Jozwiakso my friends created LL Cool J.  :)

I have a son (Logan Edmund) and a daughter (Melody Franciszka).  Both of them got their middle names from grandparents.  He is Edmund after my grandfather and she is Franciszka after my husbands grandmother.  We chose our own first names, names we both liked.

Its so nice that you found confidence in the names you really like. I mean, I've met couples who prefer baby names that sound good socially or what's the most popular one out there than what their hearts tell them.

Isn't Logan gaining popularity, too, in the the past couple of years?  That name rocks! And I think Melody is the sweetest.
