Life With A Baby is all about offering real help to parents just like you. Our events and series are fun ways for expectant, new, and seasoned parents to walk this journey called parenthood together - because it’s better with a village!

Learn crucial lifesaving CPR techniques and safety fundamentals for the babies and children in your care.

A support network for families of preterm infants as you transition from the NICU to the first months at home.

    Rooted and Rising is a free, six-week virtual ACT-based skills group for pregnant and postpartum individuals. The group focuses on learning practical skills to navigate emotional ups and downs, unhook from unhelpful thought patterns, and take values-aligned steps through the transition into parenthood.

    Platform: Sessions will be on Zoom, and registrant information is stored securely on Jane.

    Come to the St. Catharines Kiwanis Centre on Wednesday January 28th from 11am-2pm. Please note this is a drop in come for an hour or stay for the whole time but registration is required to attend.

    We’ll have a DIY photo booth, a swap table for gently used items, and a cozy coffee circle where you can unwind and meet other moms.

    What is Flora’s Walk?

    Flora’s Walk is Canada’s largest perinatal mental health fundraiser taking place in over 50 cities across Canada. The event culminates in May, World Maternal Mental Health Month, where, after months of fundraising and planning, walks and events are held in cities across Canada throughout the month of May to call attention to the need for improved perinatal mental health care.

    Who was Flora?

    Flora’s Walk is named about Canadian mother, Flora, who tragically lost her life in 2022 to undetected and undiagnosed and untreated postpartum psychosis. We honour Flora and all those who have lost their lives to perinatal mental illness and fight for those struggling to receive care.

    The Impact of Flora’s Walk

    Since 2022, over 100 organizations who have received funds through Flora’s Walk have provided free to low cost support groups and therapy across Canada.

    In 2023, at Flora’s Walk in Ottawa on Parliament Hill, the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions announced funding to start work on Canada’s first ever clinical national guidelines for perinatal mental health.
