  Fall 2023 HOPE Group (Virtual)

  This is an ONLINE support group for moms in Ontario. 

  
  

  Hold On Pain Ends. HOPE is a group for women who are currently dealing with symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety including low mood, irritability, crying, difficulty eating/sleeping, intrusive thoughts etc. This group will give you the opportunity to connect with other women and get support and education regarding postpartum mood, as well as strategies for coping, resources and referrals.

  Note that this is a therapeutic group. An intake will be conducted by Rastin Rouhani (details below) for all those interested in participating to ensure the right fit for group therapy. 

  Please only sign up if you are able to attend all sessions. There is a fee for this program, but we are providing it free to members who need it. The supportive group environment works best with everyone attending each session. 
  

  
  

  Life With A Baby is happy to have Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Rastin Rouhani, completing her practicum with our organization and offering counselling support to those Life with A Baby Members and their families in need

  Exclusions:

  • no severe PMAD support 
  • no major trauma 

  Cost: Our HOPE group is FREE of charge to all families in need.  We are offering a "pay what you can" / honour system for those who are able and/or wish to make a small donation or payment towards the services being offered via our Canada Helps page at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/healthy-start-healthy-future-inc/events/pay-what-you-can-counselling-services-for-families/. 

  • Those members with private healthcare plans and coverage for psychotherapy services can be issued a receipt for the services.  Please ask if you require a receipt and we are happy to provide one.
